Happy to support!

My two cents (more or less) that they cut out:

“Hi, my name’s Jacob Hurley. I’m an artist. I don’t smoke weed anymore, but I do support its legalization. In regard to your previous question [What does this change, weren’t people still smoking before?] And getting caught and incriminated at an incredibly unfair rate, biases that are more clearly elaborated in “The New Jim Crow” by Michelle Alexander. Besides that and the proven medical uses, marijuana has another, less known, but incredibly positive affect involving personal growth and introspection. Legalization is part of cultural acceptance. And culturally accepting this spiritual drug is a huge step in getting our society to wake up. Having our nations capitol step up and take the lead along side Colorado and Washington was crucial. I strongly believe in “Turn on, tune in, drop out,” but America will never get the chance to “Turn on” in the first place if we maintain the stigma we currently have on relatively harmless drugs.”
